We are hiring an aftercare assistant!
Looking for someone experienced in childcare, babysitting or nannying to help finish our school day!
This shift would start at 12pm and end at 4pm. The start of the day would be with the full class, and with the support of the other teachers as we end outdoor time and come inside to each lunch, have story time, and nap.
once our half day kids have been picked up and we are mid way thru nap, the other teacher will leave and the aftercare teacher will finish out the day. Nap is 2 hours, and ends at 2:30, and kids wake up, go potty and have their afternoon snack. Then, they free play or do an activity until 4pm when pick up ends! The director will be on site upstairs if anything is needed, but the candidate should be comfortable with supervising 4 kids (sometimes less) by themselves.
Hours: 12-4pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (open to adding Monday in August when we expand). Option to start at 11am if need be
Pay: starting $14/hour

We are hiring for substitute teachers!
Substitute Teacher, $20/hour
We are looking to add to our list of substitute teachers. This will be an as-need basis, and you are welcome to bring your child if they are at least 2 years old. Professional experience is great, but not required.
The role will consist of help with supervision of the children, help taking children to the bathroom/diapering, and guiding children. Your compensation would be the ability to bring your children at no cost. If you need further compensation, that can be discussed, and we are open to it.
You will never sub alone, or as lead. You will either be helping Ms. Sarah (owner/lead teacher) or one of her assistants. If you are needed, you will be called as soon as Ms. Sarah knows and will ask if you are able to come. You are not expected to always be able to say yes, but the idea is that you are generally available during the hours we are open.

Outdoor early childhood mentorship
if you are interested in building a school of your own one day, or interested in pursuing a career in nature-based early childhood education, this role may be what you’re looking for!
In exchange for help during the school day, we are offering mentorship on the leadership side of the school, our educational philosophies and practices and how they inform our curriculum, and practice of outdoor ed with ages 2-5. This would happen regularly outside of school hours and would include some studies.

Previous professional experience with children ages 2-10.
